The Skater's Edge was established in 2005 and is owned and operated by Mike Brown ('Brownie'); a former professional hockey equipment manager of 11 seasons. Mike retired from hockey to expand his small retail & repair business into Pro / College, Jr. A Team Sales. The Skater's Edge is now a full service Pro / College Jr. A Team Sales business that offers basically any hockey equipment any team or person can need. Mike has designed, developed and working on patents for several speciality repair tools used in the hockey industry. The three most recent tools are: TSE-2 Eyelet Setting Die that fits the Blademaster and Roed Riviters and TSE-2 own eyelets and washers. TSE eyelets were designed with a little larger eyelet barrel diameter and lengths vary from the standard replace eyelet to a 6mm length to accomodiate heavy skate repairs. TSE-2 Copper Removal Die that fits Blademaster and Roed Riveters. This tool is a one motion operation utilizing a spring loaded pin that pushes the pinged copper rivet back through the copper washer and prevents any damage to the plastic holder. Never again will you need to use a screw driver, hammer or any other hand tool to pry the copper washer off the pinged copper rivet or bang, cut your hand while trying to remove the washer. Let's just say both copper rivets including putting the dies into the riveter can be removed in less than a "minute" !
